For sale is a copy of 'This Was' - Jethro Tull
Absolutely FANTASTIC album.
Yes, this is the pressing you have been waiting for!
CONDITION: (based off the 'rare record guide' criteria - see bottom of the page)
I try to be as strict as possible according to the guidelines. I would rather grade slightly lower than above, so there aren't any surprises on delivery. So please bear this in mind, on many occasions it will be better than what it is graded at. If you really do disagree, feel free to contact me and we can work something else, before leaving feedback. Otherwise, I don't think you will disappointed graded at what they are. Please, see the photos to assist your judgement also.
Cover - G: the cover is still solid, and doesn't suffer from any too serious defects. It does have signs of ageing however, such as creasing, rubbing and a slightly 'off' spine. This is not a pristine cover, but should do the job. The label has a name written on it on one side, along with the inner circle drawn around.
Vinyl - G: visually this has a good amount of marks, blemishes and other imperfections. Some look serious, but are really just cosmetic. On one side there is a series of marks, but, they don't really cause too much sound. There are lots of marks here and there. I play tested this one, and it played really well on my turntable. It didn't skip or stick, and only has the occasional bit of surface noise and crackle on side 1 track 2, which was not really that significant. On side 2 track two, there was 3 or 4  clicks. Other than that it played surprisingly well with only a small bit of background noise and the odd bit of crackle/ surface noise - but nothing overwhelming at all. I would say this sounded like a VG or even VG+. Once again however, I do repeat, it does 'look' worse than it plays. Please also note, that this was on my project debut carbon turntable, so I may not replicate 'exactly'.
For someone who wants it too play, this is an ideal copy. Don't buy if your very fussy about cosmetics. I would say this is an acceptable copy, considering it is so incredibly rare.
Note: 
All  records will be cleaned prior, then cared for with an antistatic brush and inserted into a 'spincare' antistatic inner. The cover will be placed in a solid plastic sleeve, with the record and the original inner both placed inside also. Just a little good will gesture! Although each record will be cleaned etc. This does not necessarily bring it to a mint again, but rather gives you the best possible sound.

MINT: the record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as sealed or unplayed should be mint.
EXCELLENT: the record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: the record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: the record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
FAIR: the record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn , stained and/or defaced.
POOR: the record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: the record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
