Thank you for looking ... I have already listed several very special Jethro Tull LP's and there are more to come over the next few days. Please look at my other items.

Artist: Jethro Tull

Title: Benefit

This may well be my favourite Tull album... and this is a simply stunning copy of this classic album, UK Issue with the original white ‘i’ Green Chrysalis label and MacNeill press sleeve with ILPS 9123 Stereo catalogue number.

Released in 1970, with the 'benefit' of John Evans on piano and organ.

Artiste(s): JETHRO TULL

Recording Format: STEREO

Record label: ORIGINAL CHRYSALIS BRIGHT GREEN WITH BRIGHT ORANGE LOGO BLACK PRINT AND ‘MANUFACTURED AND DISTRIBUTED BY ISLAND…..text……with WHITE i LOGO

Country of origin and first published date: GT BRITAIN 1970

Vinyl ‘run off’ matrices side 1:     ILPS 9123 A2

Vinyl ‘run off’ matrices side 2:     ILPS 9123 B1

Vinyl ‘run off’ mothers / stampers side1: 1 2

Vinyl ‘run off’ mothers / stampers side2: 1 2

Original UK track listing i.e. US release had 'Teacher' instead of  'Alive and well and living in'

Vinyl: The original heavy vinyl. Even under bright light, I honestly cannot see even minimal sleeve removal marks ... but I can confirm that I have played the LP ... but only a 2 or 3 times.

It does look unplayed, has 'like new' shine and sounds simply fantastic in comparison to any other pressings of Benefit I have had. I doubt a better 'played*' copy exists.

Sleeve: I have included several high quality pictures of the sleeve to demonstrate the very slight edge and ringware after over 40 years of it's life.

Labels: Only the slightest spindle marks under very bright light indicate I have ever played this LP. It has been lovingly cared for and like my other near mint Tull first press albums; I’ll be sad to see it go.

* for the benefit of doubt my set up is and has been for many years........... a high end AR turntable; Linn tonearm and ortofon cartridge (replaced regularily of course)

Musicians:

Ian Anderson – lead vocals, acoustic guitar, flute

Martin Barre – electric guitar

John Evan – piano, organ

Glenn Cornick – bass guitar

Clive Bunker – drums, percussion

Postage and bubble wrapped secure packing: UK - £6.00 (Recorded Delivery)

I will only post overseas with insurance so please wait for an invoice before paying so that I can get a price to post. The price indicated is a guide as it depends where any winning bidder lives.

The LP will be lovingly and securely packed with stiffeners and the record removed from the sleeve.

I am of course proud of my 100% positive feedback and am sure the winning bidder will be very happy.
