Description
Complete version of the 1st pressing mono version of Axis:Bold as Love. Complete with original lyric poster, original lined inner bag, textured labels, A1/B1 matrix numbers. This is one of the VERY FIRST pressings, with the Track textured labels. SUPER RARE!!!
Sleeve is in very good condition - a few cracks, and a couple of lightly scuffed corners. It's nice and shiny, no fading on the spine, all in one piece, no sticky tape. It looks like it has spent all its life in a plastic sleeve away from direct sunlight. There are a few light surface marks and a few very light scratches on the vinyl, which although visible are not audible - it plays great, no jumps, no skips, and no pops, just some slight vinyl surface noise audible in the quieter moments, eg at the start of ESP.
It may be that the very good condition of the vinyl is due to it's still being housed in the original poly-lined inner bag - it hasn't been rehoused in a replacement paper sleeve during its lifetime. This lined original inner bag has "Made in England 117",11-7 = November 1967, making it one of the earliest pressings.
This is confirmed by the labels. The LP has the rough textured matt silver/black Track Records labels. Apparently these rough textured labels were only used for the first 300 (?) copies, which were distributed before the official release date.
Comes with the original orange lyric insert, only issued with the Track UK version.

The original owner has written their name in the following places, in light pen (see photos) : labels side A & B, inner bag, inner gatefold, poster (twice).
It's ALL Very Good. Plays great, sounds great, looks great, and all complete and all original.

Just answering a question someone put to me - no, I don't think this might have been Kenny Everett's copy - there's 2 't's in Everett, and only one here, and I'm not even sure what the surname is - the more I look at it, the less sense it makes to me.
