Description
Well once again I have had a bit of a rummage through my personal collection of vinyl LPs purchased by myself during the 1960s and the 1970s.This time I have pulled out that mega rare album from 1967 by a certain Mr. Hendrix entitled "Axis Bold As Love"
Description: This is a genuine original first MONO pressing issued during 1967 on the silver & black TRACK RECORDS label No.612 003 with the matrix A1/B1. The 130gram vinyl still has a wonderful deep gloss Both sides of the vinyl display some surface marks which include several hairline scratches, I suspect that the majority, if not all were caused simply by withdrawing the record from its sleeve. The only deterioration to the overall superb sound quality is a little light crackling audible in very quite passages. Both labels are in great shape, just the presence of spindle trace marks prevent them from being perfect. The inner sleeve with its cellophane lining has a few creases and has discoloured slightly with age. The laminated gatefold cover, made by Ernest J.Day is in excellent condition with only a tiny amount of wear to the corners & non laminated edges. The limited edition orange coloured gatefold lyric insert has no tears but some surface creases.
All in all a fine example this CLASSIC ALBUM with its SUPERB MUSICAL CONTENT plus ICONIC ART WORK is in great condition for its age of 48 YEARS YOUNG!!!
I have graded vinyl, insert & packaging a strong ALL ROUND VERY GOOD!!! as per RC.
