the pre-release promo 7# of Jimi Hendrix CrossTown Traffic / Gipsy Eyes.
Label: Track Records UK 604029

UK release date: 1969
Vinyl: Near Mint

The record is in its original white sleeve (innersleeve) with a promotional card stapled with the address of Track Records from Track Records promotional manager Vernon Brewer and a fingerprint? all in red ink.
Releasedate 4 april 1969 stamped in circle in red & blue .

recordlabel has <promotional copy not for sale> sticker.




Track Records Vernon Brewer was the promotional manager for Jimi Hendrix/the Who/Thunderclap Newman/Golden Earring & others.
Recordlabel states the year 1968 as releasedate for Crosstown Traffic / Gipsy Eyes but the track was actually released in the UK on April 4th 1969.
The UK release was pressed in late 1968 but on hold till its April 4th 1969 release as stated on the stamp on the sleeve.


 
There's no data for this record to be found on the web or in any JH discography (except for the common US promo on Reprise records released in 1968 as "Gypsy Eyes" in its 1969 UK's release  as "Gipsy Eyes")
Just a few were pressed as advance copy in 1968 and sent from Track Records by Vernon Brewer to their Dutch representative Polydor Records where this 7# was once unearthed in its unique form.



 
This record was used for promotion only and not sold in stores

Probably the first and only time this rarity is auctioned.
