Description
Jimi Hendrix "Electric Ladyland" Double LP - Polydor 2657 012
This features the earlier, explicit, gatefold sleeve, featuring naked ladies, and with a large photo of Hendrix inside.
Records are configured as Sides A/D together and sides B/C together.
Some titling discrepancies: Track A2 shown on sleeve as just "Electric Ladyland" but label says "Have You Ever Been (To Electric Ladyland)"; Track A3 says "Crosstown Traffic" on sleeve but "Cross Town Traffic" on label; Track B5 says "Burning of the Midnight Lamp" on the sleeve, but "The Burning of the Midnight Lamp" on the label.
Catalogue numbers on labels are 2310629 and 2310270, but sleeve says 2657 012 Deluxe Double.
This is an unusual variation and I have not been able to find the exact version on Discogs. Most versions with these numbers clearly say on the labels "Two Record Set - Record One" and "Two Record Set - Record Two" - this one doesn't! Also, most variants with these numbers on the labels have in brackets underneath "(Set No. 2657 012)" - this one doesn't!
Gatefold sleeve in fair condition, but small marks inside where two halfs have been stuck together at some time. Records in good condition. A/D no visible scratches, some wrinkling of label on side A. Side B no visible scratches; Side C has one long very fine hairline scratch - see photo. Not tested, so can't say if this affects playing.
