Intro: The second studio album from Jimi Hendrix Experience, Axis Bold As Love was released December 1967. It’s a slightly more cohesive than Are You Experienced, a more mature, focused and at the same time laid-back album. 60’s music at its best. The album cover, however generated controversy for displaying Hindu religious iconography. It was designed without Hendrix's approval, and he publicly expressed his dissatisfaction.
Summary: Lovely clean copy of Jimi Hendrix Axis: Bold As Love, 79 Japanese press. Lyric sheet in Japanese and English. Thick gatefold board sleeve in excellent+ all-round condition. Fully readable spine, all edges straight and true, no edge/corner rub. Bright glossy vinyl M-. Plays through clean: crisp, clean stereo as expected from a Japanese press M-. No Obi.

Labels: Classic Polydor red labels with black and white writing. Clean labels, no marks reflecting its minimal play status.
Vinyl: Retains its original gloss, lovely copy visually graded EX+/M-, under bright light couple of small wispy lines (only) – nothing more - see photos.
Audio. Plays through crisp and clean, as expected from a Japanese press. NO pips, pops, skips, sticks, jumps or crackle – nothing. Lovely crisp, clean stereo (played on a Project carbon - blue 2M Ortofon) – audio graded M-

The few records I sell are either the results of upgrades, duplicates or a bit of thinning every now and again. I strictly adhere to the Record Collector Magazine's Grading Guide using one + or - for addition guidance:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
