Description
Electric Ladyland (Track Record, 613009) is the last rock album released by The Jimi Hendrix Experience, and cited as one of the greatest rock albums of all time. Released as a double album, Electric Ladyland is a cross-section of Hendrix's wide range of musical talent and includes samples of every type of his music - from psychadelia to blues to rock and roll and progressive rock. This is the last of Hendrix's studio albums that he professionally produced and directed.
I've listened to both albums right through. There is absolutely no background noise, pops or crackles, just crystal clear, pure Hendrix in stereo. The owner of this LP took great care of his vinyls, and I am sure you will be delighted with your purchase.
If you're bidding on this, you probably already know exactly which tracks to expect:
Side A: And the Gods made love/Electric Ladyland/Crosstown traffic/Voodoo Chile
Side B: Little Miss Strange/Long Hot Summer Night/Come on/Gipsy eyes/Burning of the Midnight Lamp
Side C: Rainy day, dream away/1983 (A Merman I should turn to be)/Moon, turn the tides ... gently gently away
Side D: Still Raining Still Dreaming/House burning down/All along the Watchtower/Voodoo Chile (slight return)
The gatefold cover retains its glossiness, showing minimal signs of wear along the opening and bottom edges and at the very tips of the spine. There is a half inch tear in the outside back cover along the opening. There is a little bubbling of the laminate on the bottom right of the front cover, but presumeably this occured during production. Inside, the image is bright, clean, with just an inch long mark in the laminate on the bottom right hand cover.
