I've owned this rare 4 EP set since the early 1970s when I bought it from an ad. in the British Underground newspaper 'IT'.
This show (LA Forum April 25th 1970) has been released in many formats but this is one of the rarest and strangest. It was produced in the US on 4 seperate 33rpm 7" EPs - on the Bread and Circus record label. I've only seen one or two of these sets for sale and they were sold in clear plastic covers. This set was received in 4 thin cardboard sleeves with what appears to be xerox copies (several generations away from the originals) pasted to the front (see picture).
IMPORTANT I played this set many times as a teenager and although the vinyl looks good to the naked eye and plays without skips there are several pops (and a particularly loud one on side 1b) there is also surface noise from time to time. The covers are of fairly poor materials and the outside edges have become a little brown, they have a little ring wear and they also all have 2 crease marks in the top right corner.
The track list is: Spanish Castle Magic, Foxy Lady, Gettin my heart back together again, Message to Love, Ezy Rider, Machine Gun, Room Full of Mirrors (including Girl from the land of the new rising sun, Drum solo & Freedom), Star spangled banner, purple haze, voodoo child (sic).
