Description
This is the original UK double LP, by JIMI HENDRIX, ELECTRIC LADYLAND, 1968 stereo, on the TRACK label 613 0088/009, with "Two record set No.2657 011" label credits. This is the *MEGA* RARE, little known or recorded 2nd pressing on the TRACK label, I have done some extensive research into this pressing and this is what I've found. The 1st pressing was released November 1968, because of the now HUGE following of Jimi, with previous hit LP's "Are you Experinced" and "Axis:Bold as love", Track records could not cope with the demand for this superb LP, and hastenly in Febuary 1969 decided to press a limited amount of 2nd pressing still on the Track label and with the fully laminated Nude Cover, still with the Track catologue number 613 0088/OO9 but with the subtle "Two Record set No. 2657 011" label credits (which is not on the original 1st pressing), this extremely rare 2nd pressing was produced in very small numbers, just to cope with the demand by the general public, and was the last to be pressed on the original Track Records label before the LP, was re-pressed on Polydor Records label in June 1973, notabably catologue number *2647 012*. The fully laminated E.J DAY gatefold cover is in a impressive EX+++ condition, beautifully clean inside and out, their are no rips, no unwanted writing, no seam splits, the spine is fully intact, and undamged, only a small bit of scuffing to two corners stop this from being a NEAR MINT cover, FANTASTIC condition!. Both vinyl's are in a STUNNING *NEAR MINT* condition, super clean, and gleaming with all their original shine and luster, possibly been played 1-3 times maximum, I have not test played them, considering the STUNNING condition, I feel it's too risky, WOW!, what UTTERLY STUNNING *NEAR MINT* vinyl's, hardly been played and well looked after. The label's are in EX+++ condition, their are no scuffs, no unwanted writing, the spindal holes are tight and crisp, with only a few light spider marks around the spindal hole, proving that these amazing vinyl's have been played, BUT WITH EXTREME CARE AND ATTENTION, great clean crisp label's!. The vinyl's ae housed in blue and white inner sleeves and in EX++ condition, their is no unwanted writing, no seam splits, lovely and clean. Altogether a WONDERFUL EXAMPLE of this MEGA RARE original UK limited pressed 2nd pressing on Track Records, A UTTERLY STUNNING MASTERPIECE by the late great JIMI HENDRIX.
