Overall extremely clean; vivid clear image on thick vinyl - perfectly flat. a very few light surface hairlines visible under close scrutiny; plus a couple of feelable scratches at end of side 2 that are audible, though LP plays through both sides without any skipping, pressing blemishes or groove wear. Like any Picture disc it has some background crackle.

Stiff Card backing insert sheet is pristine, with no soil, creases, blemishes or bumped corners. Outer Flap-seal bag, likewise Near Mint.

PICTURE DISC in Protective anti-static inner sleeve with stiff card backing sheet insert inside of a clear resealable outer bag.

JIMI HENDRIX performing with Jim Morrison, Johnny Winter, and Buddy Miles.
Recorded Live at the "Scene" Club, New York City, 1968.

Jim Morrison is in pretty outrageous form (reportedly quite high) with free flowing, occasionally X-Rated, ranting on much of the parts he's featured on. Jimi and the other musicians hold it together quite well and we get a great "Red House" along with a very rare Hendrix cover of The Beatles' "Tomorrow Never Knows" as well as a couple of other Hendrix originals and covers of Cream's "Sunshine of Your Love" and "Outside Woman Blues" plus Elmore James' "Bleeding Heart".

This record is a rare document of a spontaneous, unplanned coming together of these musicians, one night in New York in 1968. As such, it should be considered as, and acquired as, a collectors item; not as an example of studio perfection.

From an utterly vast and deep record collection, from my life-long best friend (Now merged with my own collection) who was a DJ at the Radio Station I co-founded in the 1970's - and who worked for me at my California record store in the '70s and '80s. . Sadly he has now left this mortal coil, bequeathing me his deep Vinyl Mine.
