Looking for Hendrix in mint condition....? Well, we might be able to help...
An original Early 1972 copy of RAINBOW BRIDGE. First released in 1971 - this copy comes hot on the heels of the original release in '71. Matrix A1/B1 - 1st cut. Deadwax carries the original pre-Kinney catalogue numbers and the new Kinney sequence. This suggests, to me, an early '72 pressing. Note that the labels do NOT make any mention of the Warners logo that would appear in '73. The vinyl comes housed in an unlaminated original gatefold cover. The original inner sleeve is present too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) A killer copy - not many records from '72 are gonna look this fine. Lovely shiny unmarked surfaces - I'm struggling to make out hardly a single mark. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with exceptional clarity. Can't fault it - this is as close as you'll find to an archived copy. An ideal present for any Hendrix nut. If you love to hear the master's guitar licks with perfect clarity - this could be the copy for you. I couldn't make out more than a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated spots per side. I.e. practically nothing...It plays clean into ALL areas....Highly recommended!
Cover (Ex/Ex+) Truly impressive when you seen an early 70's cover surfacing looking this nice and clean. The surfaces are smooth to the touch, totally flat, and there's no sign of creasing. The front is pretty much perfect. If I were being extremely critical I'd mention the very uber slightest handling at the top of the rear. The interior is stone cold mint. There's hardly any edge wear at all and the openings are still sharp. The spine is 100% intact - this has gotta be pretty unusual. Overall the cover retain perfect rigidity. Never seen anything this good. FINAL UPGRADE.
Inner (Ex-) Lightest ageing. No splits.
