1. This is the incredibly rare “Hey Joe”/ “51st Anniversary” 45 by Jimi Hendrix on Reprise 0572 from 1967. This copy includes the even rarer Reprise picture sleeve! Record and sleeve are made in the U.S. This is not an import.
I would rate the vinyl as VG+. There is a lot of wear to both sides and yet the music over powers any surface noise.
The picture sleeve is also in VG+ condition. The sleeve had been laminated by its previous owner to prevent anymore creases or fingerprints. It will prevent any future damage. It’s difficult to see, but looking under the cover, it appears as if one side of the sleeve had been taped. BUT, I have been told that it just part of the laminating process.
Some copies of this 45 and sleeve go as high as $400.00. Taking into consideration the wear on the record and the laminating of the sleeve, I feel that the combination is still worth $200.00. What also needs to be taken into consideration is the fact that this 45 and sleeve are now more than 53 years old!
