Jimi Hendrix - This Flyer LP - Live, Ultra Rare B89 According to Popsike there have only been two copies of this record on eBay in the last six years!
There's little information about it on the internet, it seems to have been released during Jimi's life and may have been the very first Hendrix bootleg.
It's produced with the typical lack of attention to detail, it's a mono recording and for some reason it's only on the righthand channel. Initially I thought one of my power amps had gone down but it's just this record!
Apart from the sticker on the front, there is no other information, not even a matrix number.
The record hasn't been played much, it's been professionally cleaned and sounds fine all things considered. It grades EX.
The sleeve has some general wear as can be seen in the pictures, the sticker is lifting in one corner - again my pictures illustrate this clearly.
I'd just like to remind everyone that this is an auction, the highest price at the end wins it - I will not be ending it early for any reason.
Like many of the records I'm selling today this came from the large collection of a busy man now aged 61. Due to the size of his collection many of the LPs were only played once or twice from new - some were never played and they were all properly looked after. His musical taste was towards the avant garde/free end of the jazz spectrum as well as being a fan of prog, psych and experimental music. I will be selling selected records from his collection over the next few years so please add me to your favourites list!
