Jimi Hendrix - ? LP
This test pressing has a strange story. From what I know from where I got it, this LP was to be released on the french market on a back-then rather well known french label, in 1988, under the title "Nowhere 8" or "Fire". For some reasons, the project was shelved, probably because of the demise of the label, that occured at the same time. Only a handful of test pressings were ever pressed, and this is the first (and probably last) time such a copy is offered on ebay.  I'm not a Hendrix specialist, and there's no track listing mentioned with this TP; that said, it sounds really close to the famous french release LORD I CAN SEE THE BLUES, whose track listing was :

Lord I Sing The Blues For You And Me (incomplete)(Jimi, Buddy Miles or Mitch Mitchell, Billy Cox, Larry Lee, Juma Sultan and/or Jerry Velez (Hit Factory; New York City, NY) 9-6-69)/Country Blues (Band Of Gypsys (Record Plant; New York City, NY) 1-23-70)/Mannish Boy (Record Plant; New York City, NY 4-22-69)/Jam (Experience (TTG Studios; Hollywood, CA) 10-68)/Easy Blues (Jimi, Mitch Mitchell, Billy Cox, Larry Lee (Hit Factory; New York City, NY) Autumn 1969)/Experiencing The Blues (Experience (Vitus Studios; Bussum, Holland) 11-10-67)/Straight Ahead (Jimi, Mitch Mitchell, Billy Cox (Berkeley Community Theater; Berkeley, CA) 5-30-70, second show)

check out the sound samples !

Now, I wonder what relation this TP may share with Lord I sing the blues, whose first press was also from 1988. Seems like the dudes who did it first have never been aware that their TP had finally been used for a release, as they still believe today that this stuff was never released on LP... strange story. One sure thing: this TP was pressed BEFORE the french press of Lord I sing the blues !!!! And the other sure thing is that you never gonna see this TP offered again, as this is the first time on ebay that one of the 3 TP ever pressed is offered on auction...

To sum up things, there's 7 trax on this TP, and the mentions NOWHERE 8 A and NOWHERE 8 B are featured in the dead wax.I know that it was also known as "Fire" when conceived.

One side white label, one side blue label, with an "8" stamped.

Condition is VG+, wax shows some marks but plays more than fine from start to finish without any skips; light background sound in parts sometimes... very enjoyable listen anyway !  what you hear here is actually the sound coming outta this very same item.
