Description

For your perusals, dears, this first album by Mr. Jimmy Buffett. It was initially released in 1970 and only sold a few hundred copies!! I'd definitely classify this as 'pre-Parrothead'; a reviewer on Amazon, I believe, defined JB's style on this record as 'more 60's protest than his later Caribbean-flavored songs'.

The cover is in good shape-both the front and back are still glossy. There is light to moderate fraying along the edges and corners; also, there is an approximately 1 1/2" section of the bottom right corner (as you view the front of the album) that is trying to come apart. The back has been covered with what looks like a big sticker showing Jimmy B. grinning real big and a list of the songs & credits-it may be that the actual back of the album cover got messed up and this is just a big photocopy...I truly don't know, and I'm afraid to peel it up-I don't wanna mess this up!!!

**11/8/10-RE the Apparent Sticker on the Back Cover: Seller's boyfriend, the Inimitable Dan, (who, by the way, is the One of Us that 'Has the Knack' for finding Cool Shiznit) ASSURES me this is just the regular slick on the back of the album.

The vinyl is beautiful. I see only the very, VERY lightest scuffing. I mean, both sides really are SHI-NEE!!
