Jimmy Forrest Most Much Prestige 7218 mono Bergenfield label deep groove
Jimmy Forrest (ts), Hugh Lawson (p), Tommy Potter (b), Clarendon Johnson (d) Recorded 1961
Bergenfield label with deep groove and "RVG" in runouts both sides. "203 So. Washington Ave., Bergenfield, N.J." address on back cover.
The record looks VG+ and plays VG+ to VG++. Record plays with light surface noise audible during quiet parts. No heavy ticking or thumping. Light "paper" scuffs on both sides as well as some heavier scuffs. Some small, light scratches on both sides. Grooves do not look heavily worn or damaged.
The cover is VG++.
The front cover is bright and shiny with light wear and hint of ring wear. The back cover has very light wear, stamp and small writing at top of spine. No split seams. Spine intact and readable but slick is glued a bit off center. Tiny dents at the corners of pocket.
I WILL BE RUNNING MONTHLY AUCTIONS OF 50s and 60s JAZZ LPS INC BLUE NOTE, PRESTIGE, NEW JAZZ RIVERSIDE etc. MANY WEEKS AND MANY NICE ITEMS TO COME.
My highest grade is M- and I rarely grade 50s or 60s records M-. Records are graded visually using the Goldmine system. M-, VG++, VG+, VG, VG- etc. I play grade any potential problem areas. I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws. You will be satisfied. No hassles.
