Mega rare original LP of Jimmy Smith - A New Sound, A New Star (Blue Note 1512 - mono) Original issue blue and white Lexington address labels with Deep Groove, RVG, flat edge and ear on both sides. Also no trademark "R" on either label. Smith's first trio date for Blue Note (or anyone) also features Thornel Schwartz and Donald Bailey in a Blue Note classic that no serious jazz collector can be without.

The LP is in VG+ condition with marks that will make noise - not for the audiophile, but certainly not trashed either. The cover is in VG+ condition with some general age/shelf wear and clear tape on the bottom seam. NO writing, NO stickers, NO stamps. Not perfect, but how many Lexington Blue Notes do you see at this price?
