This LP is a 1966 reissue of Jimmy Smith's album titled "Christmas '64" released in 1964. This reissue has the title "Christmas Cookin'" and was released on the on the Verve record label with catalog number V6-8666.
The black 12" vinyl disc is graded Very Good Plus (VG+) and the LP cover jacket sleeve is also in Very Good Plus (VG+) condition. Please see the detailed photos included in this listing. This is really cool 60's jazz music and features a mix of bop and big band styles.
This is a nice find and would make festive and tasty addition to any music collection for fans of holiday music and classic jazz.

From Wikipedia... Christmas '64 is a 1964 studio album by the American jazz organist Jimmy Smith. Smith's only album of Christmas music, it was reissued as Christmas Cookin' in 1966. A review on AllMusic said that "Compared to most Christmas albums, this is plenty groovy, with lots of Smith's trademark dexterity and bop runs on offer." An AllMusic review of the reissued Christmas Cookin', by Scott Yanow said that "...even if nothing all that unusual occurs, the performances can serve as high-quality background music during the Christmas season".
I played both sides of this LP completely through on my audio-technica AT-LP60XBT turntable without issues. It sounds great! These are typical/traditional Christmas songs that have been given the groovy organ treatment by Mr. Jimmy Smith. This is a unique and fun holiday LP... 🎅
