Jimmy Smith's House Party VG++ Original DG 4002 Mono Blue Note LP
History: The Incredible Jimmy Smith's benchmark classic of 'sit-in' style jazz recording. Smith brought together a small army of powerful soloists including Lee Morgan, Kenny Burrell, and Art Blakey and let it ride. The atmosphere is casual and fun but the genius of Smith and the other players on display here is something very serious.
Vintage: 1959 Blue Note Deep Groove Mono Original, 4002.
Condition: The Vinyl is VG++, the audio is fantastic, such amazing presence. There is minor surface noise but well underneath the music. The Cover is VG+, the front has rich, brilliant color and there are no marks or stains, and the seams are intact with very clean edges, but the corners are a bit worn and there is some wear on the back as well.
We are selling from a large, private collection of rare and important LP's in Jazz, Soul and R&B, Rock, and Classical gathered over a period of 40 years.
