Description

This is the rare original French issue of Jo Jones “The Drums” on Jazz Odyssey JO008.  The two LPs appear to be in MINT condition, with a high luster.  The laminated gatefold cover is bright and clean throughout; the front cover shows slight wear at the opening corners and a ½” ding and 2” crease at the lower left corner.  The gatefold has the 12-page illustrated booklet in which Jones discusses and gives examples of the styles of other drum influences, and reviews some of the components of the drum kit.  This is an important historical document narrated by Jones.
