All the tracks are credited by Jo-Ann Kelly with the exception of “Whiskey Head Woman” by Tommy McClennan.

Come On In My Kitchen is surely by Robert Johnson and I think Fingerprints Blues was done by Memphis Minnie years back and Charley Patton & Son House should have got a mention. Anyway I've typed out the sleeve “as is”.

I'm familiar with the Canned Heat version of that song and it seems that Canned Heat asked her to join the band. Pretty amazing for a girl from south London.

The sleeve is in excellent condition*. It's free of any bends, major blemishes, biro etc. The front is laminated and this extends over the spine and covers about 1inch of the back sleeve. The back of the sleeve has slightly yellowed in the intervening 43 years. You can see the curved imprint from the album within. There is a grey area about 1/2 inch across on the track listing. You may be able to see this on the second photograph.

The record is in a CBS inner sleeve advertising other albums. There inner sleeve has a small tear at the bottom. The number 63841 is written in pencil.

The record itself is in excellent condition*. I've listened to it right through. (That didn't take too long as it's only about 32 minutes long.) I just a look at the BGO re-issue on CD and that has just these 11 tracks also.)

The liner notes suggest that the album was recorded live in pubs** but there is no sound of any audience.

**“Perls shadowed her from pub to pub with his recording equipment. He operated on the assumption that she needed neither studio gadgetry nor helping hands of any kind to knock out an audience. It was a calculated risk. He thinks it paid off. So do we”

You should check out the quality on the attached eCommerce Player. (In fact my request/demand is that you listen before placing any bid.) You would know it was vinyl but I guess that's what you are seeking.

(This album recorded on my Linn Sondek turntable using “Audacity”, exported as 320 kbps MP3 files and uploaded into eCommerce Player. No editing whatsoever and with the lead in and lead outs as they happened.)

Record Collector Magazine's Grading Guide:

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
