For those who only know Joan Baez from her later albums (like DIAMONDS AND RUST), come meet a younger singer; in fact, the Belle of folk, potent, fresh, singing messages of great worth across the land.
FAREWELL, ANGELINA is beautifully rendered, pure and crystalline in its sound, which is why it occupies a place on the TAS list as one of the best albums ever produced in the popular category.
Each selection will mystify you, musically and sonically, as she delivers mostly Dylan tunes: DADDY YOU BEEN ON MY MIND, IT'S ALL OVER NOW BABY BLUE, A HARD RAIN'S A-GONNA FALL, and Woody Guthrie's RANGER'S COMMAND, among others.
This is the original Vanguard VSD-79200 in very fine shape: Jacket without major fault, just hints of ring; record within -- the black label "Stereolab" heavy platter -- should play near mint.
Entirely worthy of the finest vinyl library.
