Description

Up for auction is a rare original reel to reel demo by early 1960's Soul and R & B singer Joan Proctor. Joan was one of the many talented young African American singers from Philadelphia. This demo reel is from the estate of  Greenwich Village and Cafe Society talent agent to music's biggest African American jazz greats Ivan Black. Black represented many young African American musicians from the 1930-1970's. I am selling the reel in AS FOUND condition. I do not have a reel to reel machine, so have not heard it yet. It's exciting to think of the possibilities. Some of Joan Proctor's biggest hits include: Just My Pride, Lazy River, Matchmaker, Cross My Heart, A Red Blooded True Blue American Boy, etc.
