Description
The record has New York USA address on both sides; 43 West 61st St. address at the bottom of the back cover. The record has the "ear" and "VAN GELDER" inscribed in the dead wax. 5 tracks with leader, Joe Henderson, tenor sax; Kenny Dorham, trumpet; McCoy Tyner, piano; Richard Davis, bass; Elvin Jones, drums.
Cover: Fair Top edge has completely split and had been held together with a small number of scotch tape segment, all are gone. The bottom edge has masking tape along the entire edge with 4 segments of aging scotch tape. 2" of the spine has split at the top edge and a fragment of scotch tape has been applied. Moderate aging on both sides. Faint red marking on the upper corner of the entry edge on the back cover. There are 4 or 5 small ripples under the notes on the back cover.
Record: Mint(-) In contrast to the condition of the jacket, the record shows no wear. There are 2 or 3 faint, short, surface rub marks on both sides, Also on Side 2, Track 3 a tiny discoloration spot. None of the above mentioned markings affect the sound. On Side 1, Track 1, 1 light click near the beginning of the Track. On Side 2, Track 1, 4 light clicks during the piano solo and 1 during the bass solo that follows. On Track 3, 1 extremely light click near the end of the Track. Audibly checked.
