Description

I am continuing to offer records from my life long collection due to lack of space. All records have been play tested & will be cleaned with a proper wet vacuum cleaner & where necessary treated with a Milty anti static gun, & popped into a new anti static sleeve.

John Cale : Paris 1919

YEAR   :   1973

FORMAT : Vinyl

CAT NUMBER : MS 2131

Record Label : Reprise Records

GRADE / VINYL : EX +

GRADE / SLEEVE : EX +

GENERAL CONDITION :

Both labels are spotless with no marks or spindle lines. Visually the record looks superb, a deep glossy black, under a strong light all I can see are just 1 or 2 hairlines & a couple of small marks on the surface, listening back confirms that there are no noises or sounds from them. It plays great with fantastic sound quality & a very low background noise floor. Sound quality is really good, plenty of detail & strong bass, with no jumps, pops, clicks or crackles.
The cover is also excellent, at first glance it looks like there is a little yellowing around the edges by age, but it is the design & meant to look this way, like a sepia tone old photograph. It has an intact spine & sharp corners, is perfectly flat, with no rips, tears, stains, sticker marks, writing or even small creases. The original inner is also really good, there is a little yellowing & a couple of small age spots on the empty plain back of the lyric sleeve, & a couple more on the front, but that is it. This is a wonderful copy of this iconic record. The catalogue number confirms this is a USA 1st press with no sticker over it to show the UK catalogue number, like I have seen on other versions, but there is NO import cut on the cover at all so it could be unique in not having the sticker. There are certainly no signs of a sticker even being on there. I found grading this album tricky to be honest, as I have seen records look far worse than this that are new, & I will bet I haven't played it more than 10 times in total & yet it is 49 years old so feel uncomfortable grading higher than EX +, so I would rather be conservative.
Please check the pictures to understand my additional notes, I try to be as fair as possible & note anything bad, but I am not perfect so mistakes are possible. I will not list any record that in my opinion worse than VG+ or that I would not be happy to play on my sound system.
I am happy for buyers to collect, for those unable to do so I offer 1st class UK posting.
Please note I will not post overseas due to past problems.

Thank you for looking, & happy bidding. Please check out my other items.

I make no money from postage and packing costs, and items are always insured to correct value. Collection from BH22 near Bournemouth is also welcome.
