Description
John Coltrane (with Curtis Fuller, Kenny Drew, Philly Joe Jones, Lee Morgan, Paul Chambers) BLUE TRAIN Blue Note 1577, recorded 1957. Ear and “RVG” stamped into the wax of both sides; jacket shows West 61st Street address. Deep groove and New York USA address on label of side A. West 63d street and not deep groove on B.Glossy laminated wraparound jacket shows small ring-wear to lower back side; front is near perfect. One rubber stamp on back from retail. E+ overall; corners are superlative. Disc side 1 has visible frosting from temperature issues at pressing time. Cyclical swish is audible in the negative spaces of entire side, but also recedes to negligible against music level. Side B is free of that problem.: NM-/E+. No visible play wear to either side.
