John Coltrane Blue Train Original Blue Note Early 1962 Mono DG RARE Plays Nice

Nice playing early copy of this legendary Coltrane LP.  Kenny Drew, Paul Chambers, Lee Morgan, Curtis Fuller, Philly Joe Jones and John Coltrane make the band up, legendary Blue Note sound, sounded great on our system ! Here is a detailed run through:
Some crackle and small scuff sound during the quiet intro. Once the drums. and full band kick in, the noise is mostly if not fully inaudibie, a little more to be heard following the first time Coltrane drops off the track through his return, but only in the form of very very light and very very occasional little crackles. Crackle begins to to be heard a little more loudly after Coltrane drops out the second time though still in short bits, not continuously, and then drops again out of the foreground for a bit until the piano solo, whereupon it returns again quite lightly.  As to be expected, crackle is heightened again when the piano drops and it just becomes the drum and bass, at which point there is, on top of the crackle, a slightly louder tick for a few measures before and during the first measure or so of when the horns come back. The crackle stays a bit steady (not the ticks) after that and going into the next song, which starts with full band so the crackle recedes again. On the second track, there is a light crackle at the beggining but its largely overshadowed by the volume and intensity of the band and then seems to disappear almost entirely, as the second track plays super cleanly all the way until the bass solo, where you can again hear it just a teeny bit, not as noticeable as the first track. It can be heard a bit then through the piano solo and through the end but not badly.
Side 2 track 1 plays super cleanly, hardly a sound. Track 2, a ballad, has some crackle at the start, with the music being more sparse, but it becomes far less present as the track unfolds before returning here and then very sparsely towards the piano solo at the end, but then again recedes. Last track nice and clean to start, a tick comes in with the trumpet and plays for a few measures through to when Coltrane comes back in for about 10 seconds or so.
Sleeve split along top and spine edge, could be repaired easily (I can do it for you if you ask).  Staining and bumping to one part of back cover, unclear if from moisture or just age and wear.  Some ringwear, see photos.

- RVG stamped in the dead wax, both sides,
- "P" (otherwise wrongly called "ear") for Plastylite etched in the trail off, both sides,
