Description

John Coltrane Giant Steps LP MONO Atlantic 1311 Rare Jazz 


Vinyl: VG- vinyl is covered in hairlines/ scuffs and some scratches.  Side one plays better than it looks with surface rustle that is mostly drowned out during a lot of the music (still constant and more pronounced during sections with more space such as bass solos).  Side two plays with louder / more distracting noise (including louder crackle, and some repeating tics) during the first two tracks.  The third track, “Mr. P.C.” plays better (more like side one).  


Jacket: VG light shelf / age wear, some pen marks on back of jacket, next to a couple tracks (see pictures).  Seams are all strong.  Nice VG. 


Includes original Atlantic company sleeve in ok shape with a split on two seams and some wear on the opening.  Ships in a separate new generic sleeve! 


Atlantic 1311.  Mono. LP. Not sure the exact year, but appears to be a mid 60s press.
