John Coltrane Quartet (McCoy Tyner, Jimmy Garrison, Elvin Jones) - Ballads - 1963 Impulse Records (Orange/Black Labels) # AS-32 Stereo *BELL Sound*
**(Side 1 Matrix # AS-32A-1C 155 / Side 2 # "O" AS-32B-1D 15)** BELL Sound stampers on both sides.
DISC: VG+ and would have been better if not for a width long hairs across track 1. The hair is mostly felt to touch across the beginning of the first track. There are about 10 or so audible "pop" crackles at the start of the first track before the sound mellows out. Very bold sound quality with some minor background noise after the initial audible "pop"s. No SKIPS, deep original micro-groove pressing.
COVER: VG+ with some light fade to the laminated cover. Some minor spine fray on top seem from shelf wear. Some minor corner bumps. Title spine is legible. Some peel off of the laminate on back cover by insert seem.
