Description
Up for Sale is a Rare, Australian LP, First Pressing of
John J. Francis
"OPEN FIST"
CONDITION:
The Record
The category number is WS20019 and this is a first, Australian pressing from 1974, by Warner Brothers Australia. John J. Francis appeared on the soundtrack of the cult, Australian Surf Film- “Morning of the Earth”, made in 1971 by Alby Falzon, singing "Simple Ben". His work is highly sought after on vinyl as it is rare, Australian, Acid/Psychedelic Rock.
The record is bright, shiny, & clean. In normal lighting conditions it appears NEAR MINT, but once you look at the record under bright, artificial light you can see very light hairlines and a few light surface scuffs here & there.
The Record is graded VERY GOOD PLUS-VERY GOOD
Record Play
On side one the record crackles lightly in the background a fair bit during track two. The fifth track has a slight bit of background crackling here & there. The record pops & crackles here & there on track six as it also does a bit on the last track.
On side two the record crackles lightly in the background on the first two tracks & on the first track it jumps slightly twice. On the last two tracks it crackles in the background here & there.
The record playback is graded at VERY GOOD PLUS – VERY GOOD.
The Record Labels
The record labels are graded NEAR MINT as they are bright, shiny, crisp and clean. No spindle wear or damage, and the record appears to have had little play.
The Jacket
The record jacket is a top-loading gatefold. It has significant ink loss and wear along the edges of all of the spines. It has very slight, ring wear, both back & front. It has corner wear on all the corners & it has some light brown water staining on the inside, barely noticeable and the whole jacket is warped slightly from moisture.
The album jacket is graded VERY GOOD.
