"John Lennon - 8 Original LP" box set (serial #400072) EMI Electrola, German pressings

Unlike the other rare Beatle box sets I've put up for auction recently, I was unable to find much info on this seemingly very rare box set. The following information came from a Feb '04 message board:

"The "pizza" style box is the type I own and they are the German pressings and I recommend this one. All the LP's play quietly and have very good sound quality."

Discs appear in EX+ condition and most are unplayed. Covers are in EX+ condition with the exception of Some Time In NYC which has slight yellowing towards the top. The box is in VG condition (made of plain cardboard); some yellowing towards top of box. Please see photos.
