Description

“Double Fantasy” is a vinyl LP by John Lennon and Yoko Ono, released under Geffen Records with the catalog number GHS 2001 in 1980. This album marked Lennon’s return to recording music full-time, following a five-year hiatus to raise his son, Sean. The recording sessions took place at the Hit Factory in New York City, with producer Jack Douglas assembling a band that included notable musicians such as bassist Tony Levin, guitarist Earl Slick, and drummer Andy Newmark . The album features a unique dialogue format, alternating between Lennon’s and Ono’s songs, starting with the hit single “(Just Like) Starting Over” by Lennon and “Kiss Kiss Kiss” by Ono. Other notable tracks include “Woman” and “Watching the Wheels” by Lennon, as well as “Beautiful Boys” and “Every Man Has A Woman Who Loves Him” by Ono.
