John Lennon Luck Of The Irish repro custom Picture Sleeve of cancelled US single (Sleeve only - no record).
Sleeve: Luck Of The Irish Apple-1846
This is a repro custom sleeve by John Lennon and The Plastic Ono Band. In 1972 right after the success of the single "Imagine" a follow up US single was picked as the next Lennon single. This single was to be Apple-1846 "Luck Of The Irish" with "Attica State" as the B side. For some reason the single was withdrawn– the number 1846 was never re-assigned to another record. The lyrics seemed a bit too strong for the record executives at EMI. Here is a mint cool repro sleeve showing what it may have looked like.
