JOHN LENNON SHAVED FISH Apple Records (on back cover) SW 3421
> Since the covers for both the 1975 release on Apple AND the 1978 re-release on purple label Capitol ARE IDENTICAL IN EVERY WAY, with both of the covers showing the Apple Records symbol on the back, we cannot determine which one this is...since it's still sealed.
Yes, the 1975 release's INITIAL FIRST RUN had the red "Collectible Lennon" hype sticker on the front; but that sticker was only for the initial run and doesn't rule out this being an example of a later pressing from the same year.
We simply cannot tell (and all research we've done tells us no one else has proof, either, until the LP is unsealed).
We are making no claim that this is the '75 Apple or the '78 Capitol, we only know for certain it's a Seventies press, as there's no barcode and the hole-punched cover rules out it being a record club example.
Vinyl is presumed to be in Mint condition, as this is FACTORY SEALED
Cover is Mint, as you see in the photos but we are grading it EXCELLENT due to the hole punch (see last two images) : The cover is square and flat; no creases or bends or warping, no seam splits; no ring wear; no storage odors; colors are sharp, without fading
