This is a U.S. Apple issue of John Lennon and Yoko Ono's "Wedding Album" first released on October 20, 1969. The album is the final in a succession of three experimental albums released by the couple and consists of two tracks, one on each side of the record--"John & Yoko" (Side One), is a recording of Lennon and Ono calling to each other over the sound of their heartbeats. "Amsterdam" (Side Two), is comprised of interviews, conversations, and captured sounds during the couple's famous "Bed-In" honeymoon.

The LP cover is in FULL ORIGINAL FACTORY SHRINK WRAP and is one of the harder solo Beatles LPs to find sealed!

8-track copies of this album are common since many were discovered in a storage facility in the 80's--however, the LP version of this box set is difficult to find in any condition since it sold poorly upon release. Most circulating copies are opened since fans that purchased the album in 1969 wanted to see what goodies were inside. Inside the sealed box are a number of wedding-related items designed to commemorate John & Yoko's March 20th nuptials:

  • a 12" x 12" book titled: "The Press"
    • a 1.5" x 6" reproduction strip of photos of John & Yoko
    • a 3.5" x 5" postcard
    • a 12" x 36" two-sided poster featuring drawings
    • a 11.5" x 11.5" photo of a slice of wedding cake
    • a translucent bag to hold the wedding cake photo (some versions of the bag have the word "Bagism" on one side)
    • a 24" x 36" two-sided poster labeled "The Wedding"

      The shrink is torn across the top edge and about a 1/3 of the way into the back but is complete. One corner of the top box cover has split but does not detract from the overall excellent condition of this piece. The original $6.98 price tag is still affixed to the front of the shrinkwrap!

      Just for clarity--the shrinkwrap is torn all the way across the top (it is hard to see this in the photo) but is complete. The top left corner has a minor split/ding that is hard to see in the photo.
