John Martyn – Solid Air 180gm Simply Vinyl SVLP 501 Near Mint
This is the 2011 Simply Vinyl reissue of the classic John Martyn album from 1973. It reproduces the original gatefold sleeve and Island pink rim labels. I have owned the album from new and decided to sell it after finally getting an excellent but expensive first pressing of the original.
CONDITION I use the RC grading categories and have play graded the vinyl on a Linn LP12. I have been using high end turntables for over 30 years. My records have been stored in a pet free, smoke free home.
Sleeve: Near Mint The gatefold cover has been protected by the sturdy Simply Vinyl plastic outer sleeve. It is in immaculate condition with no creases or wear and no tears, splits, writing or stains. Vinyl: Near Mint The record has had very little play, with just a couple of visible spindle marks. It sounds superb throughout and there are no clicks, sticks, jumps or crackle.
POSTAGE AND PACKAGING The record will be packed in a record mailer with stiffener and posted 2nd class. I remove all records from outer and printed inner sleeves before packing to avoid damage to covers during transit. All vinyl is dispatched in polythene sleeves. This is one of several albums I am selling from my personal collection (see my other listings). I am not a dealer but have been buying records for over 40 years and have decided to begin ‘downsizing’ my collection. I will be listing many more records over the coming months, dating from the 1960s to the present day.
