Description
This is probably one of the rarest John Mayall released 45rpm singles. It is the retail release of the track Let Me Give c/w the track Passing Through which is only available on this release. It has never been issued in any other form. When contacted John Mayall about it he asked for a copy of the track because it was written and record in the studio on the day and he has never played or heard it since. Let Me Give(2:35) was issued mainly as a double sided stereo/mono white label promo track, to promote the album The Latest Edition. The music is from the album track The Pusher Man but the lyrics had to be changed from the album version because Polydor didn't think they were appropriate for a single release. Passing Through (3:59) was written in the studio as the required B side, a great harp track, which has never surfaced since. Both side play very well. Polydor Records PD14253
