1969 UK *STEREO* PRESSING LP
My listings a this week include an extensive collection of albums by the 'Godfather of the British Blues' scene - John Mayall.
His musical career spans fifty years and he has just released his 57th album. However, most notable period of his work ocurred during the late '60s, which is where most of this collection dates from.
He was the founder of John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers and has been influential in the careers of many instrumentalists, including: Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce, Peter Green, John McVie, Mick Fleetwood, Mick Taylor, Don "Sugarcane" Harris, Harvey Mandel, Larry Taylor, Aynsley Dunbar, Hughie Flint, Jon Hiseman, Dick Heckstall-Smith, Andy Fraser, Johnny Almond, Jon Mark, Walter Trout, Coco Montoya, and Buddy Whittington. & his Bluesbreakers.
All discs in this collection have been put together by a single collector over many years and represent a rare opportunity to acquire most of his greatest LPs, all in outstanding condition.
This 1969 pressing of their classic 1966 release is on the unboxed, ungrooved blue & silver Decca label: SKL.4804
It is housed within a front laminated 'MacNeill' printed cover with a format indicator hole on the rear panel & stereo/mono numbers on the spine.
Complete with its original blue/stereo poly-lined inner-sleeve.

A clean & bright set with a minimal amount of light spindle trails to each centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Both playing surfaces of this rarely played copy are clean & glossy with the only marks visible in strong daylight being two minor surface scuffs over the 1st track on side 1. Close examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals little more than a sparkling rainbow shine and some insignificant wispy paper hairlines but no other significant marks or wear.
Play: EXCELLENT +
A really fine sounding copy has received just a few careful plays on high-end equipment. The sound throughout is perfectly clean & clear with my careful playcheck uncovering no evidence of any groove/play wear, background noise, clicks, pops or other audible faults or distractions.

EXCELLENT
A super clean, glossy & strong example of this classic cover with a bright & unscratched front panel laminate which bears just a few 'thumbnails' but no other signs of wear.There is a trace of wear to the corners and opening edges but no heavy bumps, tears or feathering anywhere. The rear panel is very clean overall with just a hint of age-toning towards the edges but certainly no mark, writing mor missing paper. Both seams are smooth any unstressed/unsplit and the spine is clean & fully worded.

Clean, flat & white - pretty much 'a new'.
- Strict & grading under strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp to UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
- I carefully play every record I sell on an EMT 950 transcription turntable at volume and list all visual and audible faults.
- All the photos in this listing have been taken by myself and are of the actual items for sale.
- All records are professionally & securely in custom-made record mailing boxes with the disc removed from the cover.
