Description
You are looking at a pretty rare Irish Pressing of 'Some Time In New York City' by John & Yoko with Plastic Ono Band, Elephants Memory and Invisible Strings. It is the two LP set with the 'Live Jam'
It is pressed on White on Black Parlaphone labels (see pics 2 and 3) without the faces on the label as per other editions. The label titles are in Silver with typical Irish fonts of the era. The labels themselves are 'Double Dip' which is indicative of Carlton Pressing, Dublin between 1980-1985ish. IRL is clearly marked in the matrix on LP1 Side 1. It does not go translucent under light which leads me to suspect nearer to the 1980 than 1985!
I have play tested this. The records show signs of use with one or two minor hairlines and plays a reasonable VG+ with a tiny amount of background between one track on the main LP
The sleeve is VG+ but I would say lower end. Although this was stored in a glass style heavy PVC cover there is minor wear along the top (pic 1) and two faded sticker removals (not rips) top, in pic 1 top left to the S of Some Time and Over the J of John although that is harder to spot (it is traditional price sticker shape and faint). The sleeve is probably the standard UK issue.
It is housed in the correct 1/2 white die cut plain sleeves as used by Carlton with both printed inners present. Both are VG+ and probably unused. The white one has a little fading.
Spine in excellent order and perfect-ably readable Labels and spindle in very good order just with little sign of minimal use
