Description
American/Lost Highway B0002769-01. The fifth of the brilliant American Recordings series and the first released posthumously, this Rick Rubin-produced album again captures The Man in Black interpreting an eclectic variety of songs from different genres as only Johnny Cash could, on vinyl, the format on which all great music deserves to be heard. You'll find Hank Williams and Bruce Springsteen represented, Rod McKuen and Gordon Lightfoot and more.
You might recognize the opening beats of "God's Gonna Cut You Down" if you've seen a Jeep commercial lately.
The record is in nearly new condition; I am the original owner and have played this album only a handful of times on my vintage, lovingly preserved Dual turntable. The cover and inner sleeve are also in excellent condition, as is an 11" sheet promoting Lost Highway Records and other products.
As with all 21st century vinyl, this is a limited edition and not easy to find.
