Description

From Germany, this is Vogue Records LDVS 17164, Johnny Griffin Lady Heavy Bottom's Waltz, an original red and white label, stereo issue of this beautiful session featuring Benny Bailey, Sahib Shihab, and Francy Boland. The record is in VG++ condition showing a light mark on Someone To Love causing a few light clicks, and some light sleeve marks, causing extremely soft crackle at the beginning of each side, but otherwise playing quietly throughout. The glossy gate-fold cover has a touch of edge wear but is excellent and intact  The labels are excellent. A fine collector's grade copy of this hard to find original issue. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12. This is part of a large Jazz record collection I will be listing over the next few months. Please check our other listings.
