Description
This is a rare set of original British single-sided test pressings of Johnny Hawskworth “I’ve Grown Accustomed to My Bass” on Columbia 33SX1654. These pressings come from the personal collection of Stanley Dance and are stamped as such on the labels and title sheet. The playing surfaces are in near-new condition, with a high luster; perhaps played once. The May 1963 recording sessions consisted of three trios: Dill Jones (p), Hawksworth, and Terry Cox (d); Stan Tracey (p), Hawksworth, and Ronnie Stephenson (d); Bill LeSage (p), Hawksworth, and Ronnie Verrell (d).
