From the archives of a noted Australian rock’n’roll and entertainment historian comes this piece of classic rock music history. Johnny Young. Remember If You Please ACETATE UNRELEASED Single 1968. Australian pressing. 1968. Double-sided – A Side is a fantastic, a truly UNDISCOVERED PSYCHEDELIC CLASSIC – Remember If You Please. B Side is Central Park. Was to be a Clarion single, set for release in 1968 with catalogue number MCK-2344 but, for whatever reason, was never released. Record in Very Good Plus conditions, some hairlines and marks that don’t affect play. Generic paper sleeve. SHIPPING: Owing to problems with international shipping, all international packages will now be sent Express Air Mail. The one exception is New Zealand, where Standard Air Mail is OK. NOTE: It appears the B Side (Central Park on the acetate) was released as a track on the 1967 JY LP, Surprises, but was renamed to After Dark. Surprisingly (pun intended), the far superior Remember If You Please was never released. And I still think it's a GORGEOUS song.
NOTE 2: While you're here, the Surprises album was released in 1968. The songs on this acetate date from Johnny Young's time in London, which was mid-1967 to the end of the year. They were recorded in London with Bill Shepherd arranging - and, most likely, producing.
