Description
This is a rare and sought after promo copy of Joni Mitchell - Blue, PROMO W/ TIMING STRIP, released on Reprise Records in 1971.
The record has been play tested and is in GOOD condition. Most of the record suffers from some moderate popping and crackling, but it gets better as each side goes on. Unfortunately, the manager at the radio station that this record used to belong to decided to scratch out the title track, "Blue", instead of just telling the staff not to play it (Check photos above). This makes the track "Blue" absolutely unplayable. Luckily, the rest of the album was spared of this gruesome fate, and is still fairly pleasant to listen through. The labels also have radio station writing on them in (fittingly) blue pen.
The jacket is in VERY GOOD condition. The front face displays the timing strip with some more radio station writing on it. The rest of this face is mostly wear free and looks great. The inside faces are also almost entirely free of wear, save a two inch long tear in the middle where the faces meet. The rear face displays noticeable ring wear. There is moderate edge wear on all edges.
The original blue inner sleeve is included and is in VERY GOOD++ condition. Aside from a bit of creasing and ring marking, this is about as good as you can hope this sleeve to look. (The record will be shipped in a new, high quality, plastic lined inner sleeve. The original inner sleeve is included, but will not be used to transport the record.)
