Description

Joni Mitchell Court And Spark 1974 Asylum Records first pressing variant 7E- 1001 with embossed gatefold cover with SD 5072 crossed out run outs.
Track A5 lists as “Same Situation" on label and "The Same Situation" on sleeve.
The crossed out catalog number in the run outs, SD 5072, would have been the catalog number  if the independent Asylum Records had continued distribution through Atlantic Records. However,  Court And Spark was the first release under the newly formed Elektra/Asylum pairing, post buyout  and reorganization, initiating the new series as catalog number 7E-1001.
A fascinating and a must have record!
The record grades Excellent+ there are some light marks nothing deep whatsoever.
The gatefold record cover grades from an Excellent- light wear and ink to front and rear panels to the  Near Mint inner....Very hard to find in decent condition (see scans).
I've been collecting records for over 55 years now and this album is from my personal collection.
