Description
An initial run of 10,000 copies were housed in a textured version of the iconic cover such as this one, with Outside (A) and Inside (B) having been mixed up at the pressing plant hence the confused runout markings.
This is one of the opaque black examples with the round-corned inner-sleeve.
This copy is graded EX with some minor scratches to the vinyl and sleeve corner marks; but nothing affecting playback.
Interestingly (and uselessly), what the iconic sleeve depicts is "100 consecutive pulses from the pulsar CP1919", taken from an image that Bernard Sumner found in 'The Cambridge Encyclopaedia of Astronomy' (page 111, 1977 edition), which was a reproduction of a visualization created by Harold D. Craft, Jr., for his dissertation “Radio Observations of the Pulse Profiles and Dispersion Measures of Twelve Pulsars,”(September 1970).
