Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures LP. Amazing copy.Cleanest original I've had.

Ok now for something VERY special. I've managed to locate what was (only until I play tested it) a totally UNPLAYED copy of Joy Division's legendary debut album Unknown Pleasures. Yes it remained unplayed since it's purchase in 1979/1980. This is by far the best copy I've ever had the pleasure to offer, and those of you who kindly follow my Joy Division auctions will know I've offered many nice clean copies of this record in the past but none of them can match this pristine virtually unplayed piece. Released on Factory Records in 1979,the Catalogue number is of course Fact 10.
It's the first copy I've ever seen without ANY ringwear to the beautiful textured sleeve. Totally solid all round. As close to a mint sleeve that you will ever see,I'll guarantee that. The only difference between this 2nd press textured sleeve and the first press textured sleeve is it omits the Garrod and Lofthouse credit on the rear and is more matt in appearance as opposed to the first pressing sleeves more shiny look. The spine looks amazing with the print perfectly legible. I've tried to take as many pictures as possible to show off it's incredible condition.
Believe me,when it comes to copies of Unknown Pleasures I know just about every difference, albeit minor or major. Over the years I have owned, sold or traded well in excess of 100 copies of this legendary album and this is the finest example. Better even than my own personal keeper copy.
Now,I must express that this isn't such a rare press in itself. The rarity lies in it's amazing condition. It is not the very first press translucent vinyl, rounded cornered inner sleeve version  I often auction on here. This on offer is what is commonly referred to as the 2nd press with "TOWN HOUSE" stamped into the matrix/run out/dead wax, whatever you choose to call it. The vinyl is solid black whichever way you look at it. It is a very high quality press, and superior to the first press which always had a very minor fault right at the start of the run in. This had been corrected by the time they got to this second run of pressings. Town House pressings are rightly and justly famous for their high end quality and this is no exception. So if you're looking for that final upgrade vintage Unknown Pleasures vinyl then this is surely the one you need in the collection. The rarity in this copy is it's pristine nature as mentioned previously. I just couldn't believe it when I was offered it. The original owner had some incredible pieces from back in the day,all untouched, but this was the only piece I took. His story is he bought two copies of his favourite bands LP's. One to play, and one to store away. Fortunately this is one of the stored copies and the one on offer here.
Labels are in perfect condition,no discolouration whatsoever. There is absolutely no wear to the spindle hole as you would expect for such a copy. Sits nice and tight to the turntable spindle.
Because I expect this record to fetch a reasonably high price I will only send via international signed for or Special Delivery inland.
The inner sleeve which has square corners is also in lovely condition, graded excellent. Just a few minor creases. Not the usual excessive ring wear and grubby finger marks.
If there is anything else you need to know about this incredible time capsule find then please feel free to ask. Happy bidding and thank you for taking the time to view this once in a lifetime opportunity.
Because I expect this record to fetch a reasonably high price,I will only send via international signed for,or Special Delivery inland, fully insured for both our protection. It goes without saying this will be packed to the highest standard with record taken out of sleeve and with over the top stiffeners too. You will receive this as I would expect to receive it. Nothing taken to chance.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM

MINT :The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed be Mint.

EXCELLENT :The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD :The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

I may use a + or a - to emphasise a grading which may be inbetween a grade. I will never use a mint grading for a 2nd hand/used record for instance. Mint- will be the very highest grade.

PLEASE NOTE THAT I DO NOT,AND WILL NOT,RETRACT A BID FOR ANYONE REGARDLESS OF THE EXCUSE.THIS IS SOMETHING YOU WILL HAVE TO DO YOURSELF USING THE BID RETRACTION FORM AND EARN A BID RETRACTION STRIKE AGAINST YOURSELF.Paypal ONLY accepted for buyers outside the United Kingdom(UK).No exceptions on this, sorry.
