JOY DIVISION Unknown Pleasures (UK) Factory FACT 10
Up for auction is a 1981 UK Factory (Lyntone) pressing of Joy Division's dark debut, "Unknown Pleasures". Not for the faint of heart.
DEAD WAX INFO: Side 1 has FACT 10-INSIDE I A A PORKY PRIME CUT ? STEP LYN · 9435 all etched into the dead wax. Side 2 has FACT 10-INSIDE I A A PORKY PRIME CUT ? STEP LYN – 9435 stamped into the dead wax. 1981 Factory early repress.
VINYL PLAY GRADE: NM at best with AMAZING fidelity and hardly any noise. Could even improve with a good cleaning. Probably one of the better listens out there of this pressing.
COVER VISUAL: VG+ at best with general wear on this rather delicate original UK Garrod & Lofthouse textured single sleeve outer. Spine is fully readable, but there is some minor creasing and corner wear.
Comes with original white cardboard printed inner (VG+ or better with minor creasing). Vinyl is housed in a heavy Audiophile plastic inner. DETAILS ON SELLER AND SHIPPING

Play grade is done on a Thorens TD 165 through Yamaha amplification and JBL reference headphones (treble set high so there will be no surprises when you get the item).
ALL ITEMS WILL BE SHIPPED WITH PROPER MAILERS AND EXTRA PADDING, PARTICULARLY AT THE CORNERS. I HAVE MADE FAR TOO MANY PURCHASES ON EBAY WHERE THE ITEM HAS ARRIVED WITH DINGED CORNERS DUE TO INADEQUATE PACKAGING MATERIAL. BY USING FOLDED BUBBLE WRAP IN ALL FOUR CORNERS, YOU CAN BE ASSURED OF AN ITEM WITHOUT DINGED CORNERS (OR DAMAGE OF ANY KIND FOR THAT MATTER). Non-tracked shipping throughout the U.S.A will be $13 CANADIAN per item, as will tracked shipping within Canada. Tracked shipping to the U.S.A. will be $16 CANADIAN for items under 500g, and slightly more for items over 500g. Most single sleeve items can be shipped as under 500g. Gatefolds and multi-sets will be over 500g.
Being a reasonable person, I will be absorbing ALL of the shipping material cost, and some of the actual postage cost.

I do offer full refunds (excluding cost to get it back to me), on any item that is not satisfactory. SINCE SHIPPING OUTSIDE OF NORTH AMERICA IS RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE (Thank You Canada Post), I will rarely list gatefolds or multi-items for sale overseas. IF ANYONE OUTSIDE OF NORTH AMERICA IS CRAZY INTERESTED IN ANY ITEM, I WILL QUOTE SHIPPING ON REQUEST.
