This is an original edition of Joy Division's debut LP "Unknown Pleasures" on Factory Records - catalog number FACT 10.  This is an early UK pressing of the album in the textured black sleeve.  It has "Printed and made in Great Britain by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd." in the bottom right corner of the back of the sleeve, which was only done on the initial pressings.  It comes with the original inner sleeve, which has pointed corners NOT the rounded corners of the very first pressing.  The vinyl is black (it does NOT turn red when held up against the light).  The matrix/runout groove etchings are as follows:

I believe that this is the first edition that Factory pressed after the red vinyl/rounded corner edition.  Don't miss out on this rarity!

The actual item is pictured and is in overall EXCELLENT condition.  The picture shown is of the actual item that you will be bidding on.  It is not a stock photo!  The outer black sleeve is free of bending and tears.  The only flaw on the outer sleeve is a 1" wide seam split on top that the previous owner tried to cover up with a black permanent marker.  This is shown in the auction photo.  Were it not for this seam split, I would mark the outer sleeve as near mint.  The inner sleeve is in great shape, it is fully intact with NO seam splits or tears.  The vinyl itself is likewise in EXCELLENT shape - it could use a light dusting/cleaning, but has no major scratches or markings.
